Pelican Reef Resort is
on one of the most abundant fishing areas in the world,
the Sea of Cortez. Some of the sportfish thriving here
are Sierra, Cabrilla, Yellow Tail, Dorado, Roosterfish,
Striped Marlin, Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Yellow Fin,
Wahoo and Jack Cravelle. The best time for fishing is
April through November, but it is good any time of year.

for Pangas and fishing guides to pick you up from our
beachfront location.

Pelican Reef Resort is the perfect home base for an East Cape of Baja fishing trip. The Island of Cerralvo is a popular destination, visible from your front door and a short boat trip away. To stay at other locations such as La Paz or Cabo San Lucas requires several hours by boat to reach the action, but from La Ventana, you are already there. |

with all of the comforts of home. We invite you to enjoy
the abundant fishing possibilities the Sea of Cortez
has to offer, while relaxing at our fully equipped facility.
It is like having your own home in Baja to enjoy, especially
if some of your fellow vacationers choose to remain
at home while others go fishing for the day. You can
get some great fishing action from our beach or hop
on one of two kayaks on site. We also have mountain
bikes to explore the land around the bay.
